Labor protective equipment, also known as personal protective equipment (PPE), is a general term for the protective equipment worn, equipped and used by practitioners to defend against physical, chemical, biological and other external factors. In recent years, the state has gradually brought the technical requirements and testing methods of PPE products into line with international standards by formulating and revising the mandatory product standards for personal protective equipment (PPE), so that the technical level of my country’s PPE products has achieved a leap in the past ten years. The market is gradually becoming more standardized and mature. Through continuous education and training, the awareness of personal protection of Chinese workers has become stronger and stronger, and they have gradually shifted from passively receiving training in the past to actively learning the knowledge of PPE wearing and use. Although most production and business units have standardized the management of PPE, there are still some enterprises, due to the lack of standardized guidance, the PPE equipment has not been fully equipped, the equipment is not standardized or the PPE configuration does not meet the protection requirements, and the PPE management does not meet the requirements. norms, etc. Therefore, the need to standardize and guide production and operation units to scientifically equip PPE is becoming more and more urgent. Although GB/T11651-2008 “Specifications for the Selection of Personal Protective Equipment” and GB/T29510-2013 “Basic Requirements for Personal Protective Equipment” have certain reference significance for the selection of PPE, their contents are not comprehensive enough, and as recommended standards, the implementation The strength is not strong. The GB39800-2020 “Specifications for Personal Protective Equipment” series of standards were released in December 2020 and will be officially implemented on January 1, 2022. This standard fills the vacancy of the national mandatory standard for PPE equipment, and must be implemented by manufacturers as technical regulations. It provides strong guidance for the equipment of personal protective equipment in production enterprises, increases the operability of PPE equipment standards, and also provides a regulatory basis for the management department.
1 Equipped with the main content of the standard
GB 39800 series PPE equipment standards include general rules and industry rules. The general provisions stipulate the overall requirements for the equipment of personal protective equipment, including equipment principles, equipment procedures, identification and assessment of hazardous factors in the workplace, selection of personal protective equipment, traceability, waste judgment and replacement, training and use, etc. The sub-clauses specify the general requirements for PPE equipment in the industry, the identification and assessment of hazard factors, and the provision of personal protective equipment. Among them, GB 39800.1-2020 “Personal Protective Equipment Specifications Part 1: General Provisions” (hereinafter referred to as “General Provisions”) as the overall guiding requirements for PPE equipment, its significance is self-evident.
